but Omega is just telling you what is wrong with the watch and what they recommend to do to fix it. They clearly don't think a simple regulation would suffice, so you are now faced with a full service. As you said it has been worn a lot in the time you have owned it, and who knows how long it was sitting in the dealers display case before it was sold too. I had a Speedy Pro that needed a full service after about two years of ownership - luckily I had it dealt with under warranty, as it was a NOS item at the AD. Since it is out of warranty, you can always take it for a second opinion at an independent watchmaker.
